Carson Phillips, an ex-football star turned down-on-his-luck private investigator, is drawn back into trouble when an old flame hires him to look into a murder. Inspired by classic film noir, the case begins like a routine job, but Carson’s weakness for a lady in distress soon pulls him into a tangled web of crimes, suspects and dead bodies.
