The Purple Heart

Early in the war, the crew of a bomber is shot down after a raid over Tokyo and taken prisoner. Held in captivity, the men face harsh treatment and mounting indignities as their captors turn their military mission into a criminal accusation. Their ordeal centers on endurance, loyalty, and the grim prospect of being tried and condemned as war criminals.
