In postwar North Africa, an American couple travels abroad in hopes of restoring a relationship that has begun to fade. What starts as an attempt to recover the closeness they once shared slowly becomes more uncertain as the trip stretches on. Far from home, they drift through unfamiliar surroundings while the emptiness between them grows harder to ignore.
