The Tin Drum

In 1924, Oskar Matzerath is born in the Free City of Danzig, entering a world that will change sharply around him. When he is three years old, he falls down a flight of stairs and stops growing, remaining physically fixed in childhood as time continues to move on. By 1939, the outbreak of World War II brings a new and ominous reality to the world surrounding him.
