The War of the Worlds

In a small California town, residents gather in excitement after a flaming meteor crashes into the nearby hills. Their curiosity turns to terror when the object proves to be a transport device from Mars, the first of many carrying an invading army. As attacks spread into a worldwide assault, humanity faces a force seemingly immune to every man-made weapon, even the atomic bomb.
