Arthur Simon Simpson, a small-time Mediterranean con man passing time in Greece, chooses the wrong mark when one of his potential victims turns out to be a gentleman thief. Drawn into a crew of criminals, Simpson becomes involved in an ambitious plan to steal the emerald-encrusted dagger of Mehmed II from Istanbul’s Topkapi Museum, where a sophisticated security system stands in their way.
