Ryan Bingham makes his living traveling across the country to fire employees for companies in crisis, spending more time in planes, airports, and hotels than anywhere else. As he nears a personal milestone of ten million frequent flyer miles, his routine is challenged by Natalie, a new hire who wants to move layoffs to video calls, and by a woman who makes him question the detached life he has built.
