At the fictional Northend Airport, the UK Border Force staff handle the everyday pressures of border security in a small provincial setting. Presented as a retro-scripted spoof documentary and narrated by Ralf Little, the series follows a workplace that may lack the glamour of a major international airport but still has to enforce the same rules, procedures and responsibilities.
