In Sparkhill, Birmingham, known as the capital of British Pakistan, self-appointed community leader Mr Khan faces the everyday trials and tribulations of family life and local status. Loud-mouthed, tight-fisted and convinced of his own importance, he keeps his long-suffering wife, Mrs Khan, and daughters Shazia and Alia caught up in his plans, opinions and comic misadventures.
