In a small Manchester pub called The Grapes, everyday life unfolds among the regulars, the staff and the familiar faces who drift in and out. Landlord Ken keeps the place going while jack-the-lads Joe and Duffy pass the time, police officers Phil and Nige drop by, old Tommy holds court, and single mum Janice is part of a world shaped by love, loneliness and blocked urinals.
