Retired Detective Inspector Alex Ridley has stepped away from active duty, but his break from police work is interrupted when Carol Farman, his former protege, turns to him for help. Brought back as a consultant detective, Ridley is asked to assist on a complex murder case that challenges the skills of both the seasoned investigator and the colleague he once helped guide.
