The Hughes family love, work and fight like any other family, with different generations trying to get through daily life together. But when the youngest son is diagnosed with autism, their familiar way of being a family no longer feels the same. As they adjust to a new understanding of him and of one another, the Hugheses must learn how to communicate all over again.
