When their father is transferred to Japan, 16-year-old Holly is sent to live with her older sister Valerie in New York City. Valerie is 28, tightly organized, and used to having her life in order, while Holly is spontaneous, impulsive, and anything but tidy. Sharing an apartment quickly tests their very different styles, as the sisters learn that loving each other is easier than living together.
